Inventory management

Inventory management that carries cost price, not just quantity

filarity tracks stock by barcode: scan to receive, scan to bill. Catalogues import by CSV with names, SKUs, barcodes, HSN codes, cost price, selling price, GST rate, quantity and up to two variant options. Every unit carries its cost price, so stock movement feeds the profit figure.

Getting your catalogue in

The setup step that usually kills an inventory rollout is typing the catalogue. There are two ways around it here, and both take minutes rather than evenings.

  • CSV import with names, categories, SKUs, barcodes, HSN codes, cost price, selling price, GST rate, stock quantity and up to two variant options
  • Scan an unknown barcode at the counter and create the product on the spot
  • Receive a purchase by scanning, which sets the cost price for that batch

Barcode at both ends

The same scanner does receiving and billing. Scanning at receipt is what keeps cost price current without anyone remembering to update it; scanning at billing is what keeps the counter fast enough that staff do not work around the system.

Purchases, suppliers and dues

Stock does not arrive for free, and a stock module that ignores the bill is half a system. Purchases record against suppliers, supplier dues stay visible, and the purchase cost flows into the cost price that every later sale reports margin against.

Low stock, before it is a problem

Low-stock alerts fire against your own thresholds rather than a fixed number, which matters when a fast SKU and a slow SKU need very different reorder points. The dashboard surfaces them next to profit and dues, so the reorder decision and the margin on what you are reordering sit on one screen.

Getting data back out

Any filtered list exports to Excel - stock, purchases, suppliers, invoices. Nothing is locked in, including during the free trial.

FAQ

Questions people actually ask

Yes, by CSV, including variants, HSN codes and cost price. Most catalogues import in one pass; anything rejected comes back with the row and the reason.

Any standard USB or Bluetooth scanner that types like a keyboard works, and so does a phone camera. There is no proprietary hardware.

Up to two variant options per product - size and colour, for example - each with its own SKU, barcode and stock count.

Yes. Roles unlock sections individually, so a stock role can receive goods without access to cost price or the profit dashboard.
